Project #42 Fill Flash

Project: Fill Flash

Most of us have them but how often do we use them? For this week make some photos using our flashes to add a touch of fill light to our subjects. Controlling the contrast of your images with the help of your flash is always good to practice.

Project #40 The Golden Hour

Project: The Golden Hour

With the weather getting warmer we should all get out and make photos during photography’s “Prime Time” aka the Golden Hour. The golden hues of a sunrise or sunset can give a magical quality to am image. Get out there and find the magic!

Project #39 Breaking the Rules

Project: Breaking the Rules

You have probably heard all the rules of photography, do this but don’t do that. Well here is your chance to have some fun breaking the rules! Make images this week that fly in the face of the “rules” by not following them. When you post your images please tell us which rule(s) you have broken and why.

Project #38 The Dark Side

Project: The Dark Side

This week let’s play on the dark side. Low Key photography is about dark, moody images. Low Key images don’t have to be black and white but they should have an abundance of dark areas in them. Be creative and have fun creating on the dark side!

Project #37 A Different Point of View

Project: A different Point of View

The vast majority of photos are taken with the photographer standing upright with the camera at eye level. This week let’s change that. Get high, get low, find a different point of view. See how a different perspective can change how you view your subject.

Project #36 High ISO

Project: High ISO

Most of the time we are looking for images with the finest detail possible. This week let’s take a break from that and explore the possibilities of using high ISOs. In the days of film it was called “grain” now it’s called “noise” what ever you call it, it can add interest to your images when used creatively. Set your ISO so that you make some noise and play with the creative possibilities!
